SpaceShrink (formerly SpaceSort) helps you keep smaller photos and videos in your Photos library. Find your biggest files, save smaller copies, and compare the results before choosing whether to remove larger originals. Compression can reduce resolution and detail; results vary by file and setting.

Purchases

Ten successful compressions are free on a device. A one-time full-app purchase unlocks unlimited supported compression. Use Settings → Restore purchases with the same Apple Account if access is missing. For billing and refund requests, visit Apple’s Report a Problem.

Before deleting originals

Review each smaller copy. For exports, open the files in the destination to confirm the upload completed. Deleting originals from iCloud Photos affects your other synced devices too.

Background processing

Start compression while SpaceShrink is open. iOS controls background execution and may pause it. Reopen the app to resume a batch. Keep screen awake is on by default while the app is open and working; a powered-off phone cannot process media.

Hidden and Live Photos

Hidden items are accessible only when iOS permits. Smaller copies preserve hidden and favorite status. Live Photos require an explicit warning before creating a still copy; batch compression skips them.
